Dawn & Kaitlin

This was such a treat!

I love doing pictures for family. My sister-in-law Dawn has been asking me to do photos of her and her girlfriend Kaitlin for a while. So when we finally get time, it is of course on the windiest and coldest day of the year.  I think the tears in our eyes froze.

We still got some fun stuff. Kaitlin also got a few done with her brother Jamie. Not a bad Christmas present. We then quickly ducked intoa building and used their staircase for some of the warmer shots.

Enjoy!

Charlotte & Her Sisters

Charlotte is the niece of my good friend Brian.  Being the amazing uncle that he is, he has arranged for a photo session for each of his nieces as a gift when they were born.

Hailey was the first to come along for Keri & James. Emma was the next to join the family. Little Charlotte was born in July of this year.

Take a look at these beautiful kids. The two older girls certainly hammed it up for the camera this time. They are so much fun!

The Yaghi Family

The Yaghi family are expecting their second child about a month from now but Nora was a trooper throughout this shoot. We managed to get a good assortment of photos in a fairly small area so she didn’t have to walk around too much. Thankfully there were still some leaves on the trees – they really seemed to disappear overnight this year.

I hope you can tell from these photos just how cute their son is. He was hilarious! We had a lot of fun on this photo shoot and we wish them all the best as they prepare to welcome their new addition.

Karena & Justin

One of the things we really love about shooting weddings is meeting the bridal party that surrounds the couple on their big day. Last year, when Brad & I shot Robert & Melissa's wedding at TELUS Field, we got to know their friends.

Since then, we are now booked to shoot the wedding of Alicia and Rob and a few weeks ago got to shoot another bridesmaid Karena and her husband Justin. We had been planning it for a few days and it turned out that the day we finally chose, was the first big snow of the season.

We ran outside, got some quick shots around Saskatchewan Drive, then headed into the Three Boars restaurant to warm up (and snap a few shots).

Enjoy!
