Street Phat

Oh the guys at PHAT Training Inc.. They are so good to me. I was doing a shoot with them as part of the tail end of their Get Phat for Summer program when we were all of a sudden taking hip hop style shots in the alley way.

Jesse explained  that they were for a new program he was running called Street Phat. Basically he has partnered up with Luke from 3rd Street Beat and they are running a hip hop / fitness / flash mob style class. It sounds like too much fun.

If you are interested, or want to know more, email Jesse at streetphat@gmail.com.

Here is the poster I put together for them.

Fringe Posters!

Need a Fringe poster? Let's talk!

I love designing posters for Fringe shows. The 29th Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is coming and with that, hundreds of theatrical performances.

I had the pleasure both last year and this year designing the poster for Promise Productions. Check out their Facebook page for upcoming show details. Check out the Graphic Design portion of this site for more examples of poster designs I've done.

Happy Fringing!

The Kinseys

I had the pleasure of taking pictures of the Rob, Lana & their 4 month old son Karch. We did the shoot at Rob's parents' acreage just outside of Stony Plain. What a beautiful property. We had just missed the rain a torrential rain storm. Hard to tell from the shots.

Check out the Capturing section of the site for close ups!

Enjoy!

Cuba Libre

At the end of last month, the family went on a much needed trip to Cuba. We stayed in Varadero, but made a day trip into Havana.

What an amazing country. Such a completely different way of life. Here are some of the people and places from our visit and of course, the cars frozen in time.

The place is a photographer's dream.

Enjoy.

PHAT Training Inc.

I had the pleasure of shooting the fine people from PHAT Training Inc. last weekend. It was a real spur of the moment shoot. I loved it because without even knowing me, they told me to go wild and that they wanted to see my style.

It allowed me to play with lighting a little more as you can see from the images below. The fact that using the side lighting made them all look so cool was a lot of fun. It helps when your subjects are quite good looking individuals.

Stay tuned for future endeavors with this group! Until then, check out the remaining images in my new Showcasing section of the site.

And if you need a personal trainer... do not hesitate to drop the PHAT Training Inc. people a line, or join their group on Facebook.

Rock.

On the Wire

I had the pleasure of taking promotional shots for a new Edmonton show called On the Wire playing in Edmonton Fire Hall at Fort Edmonton Park. The shoot was in a very small room in one of the old historic buildings at Fort Edmonton with one off camera flash using techniques I learnt from Scott Robert Lim.

The cast was great and the show looks like it'll be a blast and dinner is built into your ticket price! I will be taking shots of the actual show later this week. I can't wait to see these guys in action. Check back here for those shots.

Big thanks to Brad Gibbons for lending me his pocket wizards and umbrella.
